Quality Assurance:

We have six full-time coordinators and 2 coordinator assistants. The coordinators have between 3 - 16 years of experience, totaling over 50 years experience among them. Our coordinators' backgrounds include the following: Nurse practicioners, dieticians, exercise physiology, doctorate degrees, master's degrees and bachelors degrees. 

Apex professionals seek continuos improvement in our already cutting edge systems. The staff meets bi-monthly with our PI's to discuss protocol issues, patient enrollment, and any adverse experiences. In addition, studies are randomly monitored utilizing an internal QA system at our site. All study coordinators are Saf-T-Pak certified and the staff has been HIPPA trained/certified on research guidelines.

The center maintains a database of over 11,00 research volunteers. In addition, the center has access to databases of over 40,000 patients from three private practices. Although Orange County consists of a predominately Caucasian patient population, we have an affiliation with local clinics catering to the minority, namely Hispanic and African American, patient population. With these affiliations, we have access to the large minority community of Orange County.

With a full-time patient recruiter, our large database, and our affiliation with private practices and local clinics, we are able to recruit quickly and meet or exceed study deadlines.
